LuLaRoe + Family Pictures = Perfection

Hi everyone!

I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving and are gearing up for an amazing Holiday season. I know I cannot wait to have my husband home in time for Christmas and we get to visit my Mother In Law so that is always exciting.

If you don't know me, then you don't know how obsessed with LuLaRoe I am. I met Amanda through another consultant while on the hunt for the RIGHT Carly. We connected not only through clothes, but God as well. I fell in love with her spunky, sweet and sincere personality immediately. If you know the Neighbors family, then you know how amazing they are so I don't need to describe how exciting and fun their session was for me.

I love when a random connection becomes a friend and client. Thank you guys for making my job super easy and braving the cold weather to capture the true love that you have for each other.

Amanda, thank you for helping strengthen my faith. It's a gift I can never repay.

If you love LuLaRoe or just want to check out some amazing clothes make sure to visit Amanda's store at the link below!

Melissa + Austin (An All American Love Story)

I was contacted by a great friend of Melissa's and she hired me to capture Melissa and Austins Engagement pictures. They had a specific idea of what they wanted, 1940's themed, combined with their military uniforms. They are both incredible members of the U.S. Army and it was such an honor not just capturing these moments but being in their presence. The sacrifice that service members and their families make every day is something I am still in awe of, even after several years of being a dependent myself.

I digress... they very sweetly answered questions for me. They totally touched my heart!

Names:

"Melissa and Austin"

How did you meet:

"We met by chance encounter on a summer evening at a Fayetteville Festival June 2015"

What do you love the most about each other:

Austin:
"Melissa has a seemingly endless amount of energy, enthusiasm and zeal for life that is unparalleled. Sometime's it's fueled by energy drinks when we try to accomplish too much but we always seem to add to our adventures. She is the best road trip / airport partner (when not sleeping) a guy could ask for and is always up for something new. She has written her own successful story and is unapologetically herself at all times, which just so happens to be my perfect match in a partner."
Melissa:
"What I love most about Austin is how I am free to be myself around him. He accepted me "as is". Never once did I have to pretend to be something that I wasn't . It was a breath of fresh air to meet a man with the same excitement for everything in life and sees the positive in everything. He is the most genuine, caring and selfless man I know. He is also the best cook I know. From steaks to cupcakes to apple pies. How lucky is the girl that has a man who loves to make her happy by making her the perfect meal"

When did you know he/she was the one?:

Austin: "There was never one moment that I knew Melissa was the one, but a culmination of a bunch of serendipitous events. We are compatible in so many ways that leads to incredible amounts of happiness."
Melissa:
"As I already thought Austin was to good to be true and of course wanted him to be the one the moment I met him, I honestly did not know the depth of it until I was deployed. We had only known each other a couple of months, we were pretty good at keeping in touch with each other. One evening I did not receive a message saying that he made it back safely from a night flying exercise. As not to seem pushy or needy, I did not call him. Instead I worried the entire day wondering if he was ok. The "what if's" sand in. What if something happened to him? What if I never saw him again? What if he never knew how much I was falling in love with him? It was then I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that he was the man that I truly loved and wanted to spend the rest of my life with."

How did he pop the question?:

Melissa:
"Austin was visiting me on a TDY trip down in Florida this past August. Apparently he had the ring for quite some time, but was waiting for the perfect moment. The day before we were supposed to come home to NC, we went on a sunset Everglades tour. It was a private tour with just us 2 and the driver of the air boat. Austin had worked things out earlier with the owner to stop somewhere perfect to watch the sunset. It was at that moment, as we were watching the sky change that he reached into his backpack and pulled out a box. The driver of the boat tricked me into taking photos so it seemed natural for him to have his camera out. Austin then made it seem like it was a regular gift by having me unwrap it. Once the bow was untied, he took over from there. Surrounded by a couple of alligators, he got down on one knee and asked me if I would spend the rest of his sunsets with him. Of course I said yes :D"

What makes the other person happiest?:

Dual Answer:
"As cliche as it sounds, we are both happiest when we are together. Being dual active duty military, it can be hard sometimes to carve out quality time together. When we have it, we make sure not to waste a minute of it."

What is his|her spirit animal?:

Austin:
"Melissa's spirit animal would be a Unicorn. She is the most patient and happy ball of energy who always makes it a point to show she cares. She always sparkles, sometimes because of her natural radiance but mostly the different type of glitter products she likes to wear ;)"
Melissa:
"Austin's spirit animal would be a Golden Retriever. Very loyal to friends and family, always optimistic and charismatic."

Cheyenne + Tim

Photographing another photographer is always daunting but I LOVE IT! Besides the fact that Cheyenne and Tim were straight naturals and Holly gave us her good side constantly, lol, photographers just get "it". Posing, pauses while my brain plays out the next move, when something just isn't working and they are not afraid to move or tell me, lol.

I am always extremely grateful when another photographer trusts me with their portraits. Especially when that photographer is leaving soon and wants her portraits done at one of her favorite spots to shoot. Make sure to check out Cheyenne Rickley Photography when you get the chance!! Her work is stunning <3.

We had a brilliant time and somehow magically didn't have any rain for over an hour on a day where it just wouldn't stop!

Enjoy the little sneak peek I've put together!

PS She just turned 21!! Happy BIRTHDAY Cheyenne!!

-I am so excited to share a TON of gorgeous images thanks to my friend and client Lil. Thank you so much for coming all the way to Fayetteville for your session and trusting myself and Elisha with our visions for you and your session. Cant wait to find out what Baby #4 is!

- Love Always-

Emma

"A huge shout out to Courtney Patterson and Becca Orcutt who recommended me to Lil a couple of years ago for her newborn photos. Over the years Ive had the pleasure to capture both sides of her family, her family by themselves and now Lil beautifully pregnant with her 4th baby. They have 3 beautiful boys and she is a crazy amazing person. She works out like crazy and does triathlons even while pregnant. She is pretty much my spirit animal ;P.

Anyways... back to this shoot. I had specific ideas about what I wanted her to wear, where to shoot..etc. We started off in my studio where my HUMAElisha Seaton (she is AHMAZING) pampered and dolled Lil up. I kept saying I wish I had more time in the studio because we didnt even get to all of the outfits, she was just so gorgeous in each outfit.

Lil had requested a second look so we really did it up for the outdoor maternity photos! She wore a beautiful blue/grey (Blue Rain) dress fromSewTrendy Accessories and a gorgeous crown made by Ryan Shedrick. We then had her change into this gorgeous lace dress that I purchased off Amazon and that pretty much every photographer owns now, lol. Its gorgeous and so flexible in its use! The idea of getting into the water was just originally for her to stand in it because it was so blasted hot and I wanted to get one water shot...then Lil proved why she is so amazing and was totally down with pretty much whatever I asked her to do.

I hope you enjoy this session as much as I do!"

New Beginnings...

This is a hard blog for me to write. One of my closest friends is moving to Florida with her beautiful girls. She has been such an inspiration to me for years, as a wife, mother, student then becoming the amazing nurse she is...all while being an Army wife and dealing with all that comes with that title.

She wanted to capture her and the girls just having fun and being together. I cannot wait to see these hanging in the new place.. and I cant wait to come visit. <3

Blush Boudoir Experience

I am so excited to share and blog about the behind the scenes and final images/videos from my Blush Boudoir Video Shoot.

Thanks to  MediaBrewer Films, the moms and gorgeous women who participated and R Shedrick Artistry who styled hair and makeup for not only the models but myself. We had SUCH a blast and it was such an incredible experience.

I started working really hard on Blush Boudoir because of my own insecurities in my body. After I had my daughter, Charlotte, I actually lost all my baby weight..wait, don't say anything yet haha... then my husband deployed, I suffered from PPD and Anxiety that was completely new to me and then I became the caretaker of my mother for a short amount of time. Lets just say, gelato, pizza and cheesecake became my best friends so I gained back not only the baby weight but more than I have ever weighed before. I got tired of putting myself down, hearing other women labeling their self worth by what they looked like.

I've learned that you can be a size 2 or a size 22 and not be happy with your body. I've also learned you can be a size 22 and ROCK IT OUT! I wanted to make sure every woman whether they were confident or not could walk out of my studio or their session and feel absolutely amazing.

Whether you want to book your session just for yourself, your significant other or a special event, Blush Boudoir is where to go!

We also book couples boudoir and bridal boudoir for your special day!

Warmly,

Emma
