Cheyenne + Tim

Photographing another photographer is always daunting but I LOVE IT! Besides the fact that Cheyenne and Tim were straight naturals and Holly gave us her good side constantly, lol, photographers just get "it". Posing, pauses while my brain plays out the next move, when something just isn't working and they are not afraid to move or tell me, lol. 

I am always extremely grateful when another photographer trusts me with their portraits. Especially when that photographer is leaving soon and wants her portraits done at one of her favorite spots to shoot. Make sure to check out Cheyenne Rickley Photography when you get the chance!! We had a brilliant time and somehow magically didn't have any rain for over an hour on a day where it just wouldn't stop!

"A huge shout out to Courtney Patterson and Becca Orcutt who recommended me to Lil a couple of years ago for her newborn photos. Over the years Ive had the pleasure to capture both sides of her family, her family by themselves and now Lil beautifully pregnant with her 4th baby. They have 3 beautiful boys and she is a crazy amazing person. She works out like crazy and does triathlons even while pregnant. She is pretty much my spirit animal ;P. 

Anyways... back to this shoot. I had specific ideas about what I wanted her to wear, where to shoot..etc. We started off in my studio where my HUMAElisha Seaton (she is AHMAZING) pampered and dolled Lil up. I kept saying I wish I had more time in the studio because we didnt even get to all of the outfits, she was just so gorgeous in each outfit. 

Lil had requested a second look so we really did it up for the outdoor maternity photos! She wore a beautiful blue/grey (Blue Rain) dress fromSewTrendy Accessories and a gorgeous crown made by Ryan Shedrick. We then had her change into this gorgeous lace dress that I purchased off Amazon and that pretty much every photographer owns now, lol. Its gorgeous and so flexible in its use! The idea of getting into the water was just originally for her to stand in it because it was so blasted hot and I wanted to get one water shot...then Lil proved why she is so amazing and was totally down with pretty much whatever I asked her to do.

Sadie Mae (Lifestyle Newborn)

So excited to be featuring Sadie on the blog today! 

I've known Anna since I was 6 or 7 years old, riding horses together out at Triton Stables. I am incredibly proud to see her as a mother and get to witness the love between her and Kris. They are such a wonderful unit and Sadie is so blessed to have them as parents.

How did you two meet?: Our parents were next door neighbors

How did he propose?: On top of the Empire State Building.

If you could pick one moment that stands out to you as the best on your wedding day, what would it be?: When the doors opened, and I saw James standing up there next to Pastor Phil, I couldn't help it. I just started crying.

Describe any special traditions, personal mementos, or helpful friends/family members who played a sentimental role in your wedding planning or wedding day.: Stephanie helped me a ton with my wedding planning. James also, surprisingly enough, was a huge help as well.

What made you choose your venue(s) for your wedding day?: I picked it before we even got engaged. As soon as we did, we went to go look at it and I immediately knew. I didn't even look anywhere else.

What was your First Dance song? Is there a special story behind it?: All of me by John legend.

What was one wedding planning decision that proved invaluable?: Having a coordinator. She seriously was amazing through the whole thing. It definitely wouldn't have been as smooth without her.
